WHAT OUR STUDENTS AND PARENTS ARE SAYING:
"Some of my favorite memories from the workshop were shooting on a variety of old medium format cameras in Andrew French’s gorgeous daylight studio and the streets of Union Square, sifting through his ceiling length bookcase of photography books, and a field trip to the Penumbra Foundation where I learned about the historic process of tintypes. The workshop was a once in a lifetime experience where I was able to learn from and connect with photography professionals in an intimate and supportive setting. The beautiful images I created and the knowledge I gained, I will treasure for a long time to come." – Ella
“Andy runs an excellent workshop for teens over the summer. It is rare that teens can get such hands-on experience with an expert like Andy. My son had never used a DSLR camera before this workshop, and after a week in the class, had learned how to use the camera, and began to appreciate different composition angles and how to start to play with light in his photos. Andy does an incredible job of drawing in students of all levels - from the most advanced to the newest - and ensuring they are each learning and building on their skills. I highly recommend his summer workshop!” – Ariela, Ben’s mom
"Our family continues to share stories with great joy about Andy French's (Extra)Ordinary Teen Photography Camp. Andy is a caring, skillful, student-centered and incredibly well-connected teacher. He delivers an experience that surpasses all expectations." - Lola’s family
